The world's first truly 100% carbon fiber C/10 pickup truck

This was an awesome project to be a part of, with an incredible team and supporting companies involved, that has won numerous awards and accolades across the industry since its debut in February 2023.

I designed and CAD modeled:

  • The front fascia (grills, side canards, splitter, lights, bumper)

  • Most of the carbon fiber pieces in the engine compartment: firewall, engine cover, inner wheel tubs, radiatior cover

  • Hood vents and vent covers

  • The door handles (now in production)

  • The rear spoiler and rear valance, designed for production

  • Several other odds and ends

The full interior, except the roll cage and seats, focusing on human-centric design and production design principles:

  • Dashboard, dashboard components, door panels, headliner panel, "floating" driver-centric center console, B-pillar and rear window surround, under dash closeout panels, transmisison tunnel

I also designed all of the ZR/10 branding and logo design, as well as the promo video, slideshow, and infographic board (shown above), all of which are shown in the below gallery (volume up!).

I worked with the owner of Fiber Forged Composites Zach Ingram and the owner of the truck Rod Parsons, taking their ideas and turning them into sketches and class-A surface 3D models, which would subsequently be CNC milled out of aluminum, 3D printed (metal or plastic), or produced in epoxy carbon fiber.

This truck is now in low-volume production (5 or so a year, around $500,000 each), which includes several parts I designed. The parts I designed that are now in production include: carbon dashboard, carbon front inner wheel tubs, carbon firewall, billet aluminum door handles, carbon rear spoiler, ABS front upper grills, ABS front lower grill, carbon engine cover
